Live Testing

Imagicle Smartflows enables you to test your bot directly from the editor before publishing it, ensuring the flow is perfect before going live. 

There are two ways to test your flow, both located at the top right of the editor next to the publish button:

• use the WhatsApp button to test it within WhatsApp (note that escalation to human agents is not available during the testing phase)

• use the play button to test it within the flow editor

Try on WhatsApp

To begin testing the bot on WhatsApp, simply click the button. You will be redirected to the WhatsApp page, from where you have 3 options:

1. click on Download to get WhatsApp application on your PC/Mac and launch the test from there

2. click on “Continue to Chat” to open WhatsApp web and launch the test from there

3. copy the message displayed on the page (in the example below, “#tdceb811c5 Send me to start testing your bot”) and send it as a WhatsApp message to the WhatsApp test number, which depends on the location of Imagicle Smartflows instance:

   • EU (eu-smartflows.imagicle.cloud): +39 0584 365560

In all the 3 cases, once you’ve sent the message, the bot will join the chat, and you can start testing the flow.

Test inside the editor

You can also test the bot directly inside the editor by clicking on the play icon and then on “Test it”. By default, this will automatically start your bot from the “start” block.

If you want to start the bot from a block different from the “start” one, click the play button above that block. This is especially useful for testing a modified block without running the entire flow from the beginning.
